Project Overview:

\n

To effectively support Unified Communications operations, this role must align with the working hours of key stakeholders and business partners. The majority of work requests, coordination, and verification of activities occurs during U.S. business hours. A U.S.-based resource ensures timely execution, real-time collaboration, and operational continuity without delays caused by time zone misalignment. ***’s Global Brokerage is looking for a Business Analyst to join its team. This individual as part of an Agile development team, will be responsible for business analysis, requirements, design of custom developed applications as well as vendor management assuring that all business and technical requirements are being met.

•Verification and Validation Requirements

o Work outputs must be validated and approved during U.S. business hours.

o These activities cannot be effectively completed during APAC hours due to lack of stakeholder availability.

Knowledge/Skills

\n

• Agile Methodology

\n

• Familiarity with financial market/instrument/Trade lifecycle

\n

• Knowledge of full software development lifecycle

\n

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• A positive goal orientated attitude with a focus on delivery

• Knowledge of the following would present a significant asset:

\n

1. Transaction processing, asset categories and related FIX messaging

\n

2. Knowledge of the top Order Management Systems(Flextrade, Fidessa, etc.)

\n

3. Brokerage Front and Back Office specific functionality and processes

\n

• Knowledge PCF is an added advantage

\n

• Knowledge of Python 2.7+, Oracle, SQL Server

\n

• JIRA for defect and backlog management.

\n

Experience

\n

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline

\n

• Overall 10+ Years of Industry experience in IT.

\n

• Experience in agile development methodology.

\n

• Proven ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals.

Act as the Primary Liaison Between Business Partners, Engineering Teams, Vendors and Project Managers

Review Intake with Service Owner to Prep for Stakeholder Engagement

\n

Conduct Stakeholder Engagement & Interviews

\n

Document Business Functional & Data Requirements

\n

Validate Business Functional and Data Requirements Output with Service Owner

\n

Validate Business Functional and Data Requirements Output with Stakeholder

\n

Translate Requirements into Use Cases, System Diagrams, Impact and Gap Analysis

\n

Establish Financial Planning, Cost Model & Quotes

\n

Identify External Dependencies & Cross Functional Team Dependencies

\n

Coordinate With External Dependencies & Cross Functional Teams

\n

Create Test Plan, Communication and Coordinate Internal/BU Testing

\n

Establish Training Material & Presentations

\n

Finalize Operational & Procedural Documentation

Additional Duties:

\n

• Communicate status (written and verbal) to relevant stake holder as required.

\n

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least six, typically eight or more years related experience as a project team member of which at least two years have been in a leadership

\n

position, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

\n

• Proven know-how and in-depth experience in Brokerage/Trading Front and Back Office Fundamentals.

\n

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are required

\n

• Ability to work in a team as well as independently.

\n

• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment

\n

• Technical skills focusing on SQL queries, XML, FIX and SWIFT message parsing, Agile, JIRA

\n

• Serve as the primary liaison between the business, its technology vendors, and the development team

\n

• Evaluate opportunities to implement technological enhancements to improve the efficiency of the business

\n

• Develop recommendations for vended versus in-house developed solutions

\n

• Provide guidance on technological solutions for new product offerings

\n

• Interface with technology development teams both onshore and offshore to design solutions to meet

\n

• the needs of the business

\n

• Advocate for business support as new technological solutions are being developed

\n

• Troubleshoot support issues with vendors and the in-house support team as needed

\n

• Complete the necessary risk management oversight of all vended applications.
