Job Description

Join Our Team as a Pest Control Technician at The Bug Man!

WE PAY 100% OF YOUR HEALTH AND DENTAL PREMIUMS!

Looking for a stable, hands-on career where your judgment, communication, and attention to detail matter? At The Bug Man, our technicians help families and businesses maintain safe, healthy, pest-free spaces. You’ll work independently, build trusted customer relationships, and solve practical problems—with ongoing training and support from a woman-owned, family-operated company that values every member of the team.

People from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. If this role interests you but your experience doesn’t match every preferred qualification, we still want to hear from you. Transferable experience in customer service, home services, field work, property care, hospitality, healthcare, or other detail-focused roles can help you succeed here.

What You’ll Do:

• Inspect homes and businesses to identify pest activity, entry points, and harborage areas.

• Create and carry out effective pest-management plans.

• Explain findings and preventive steps clearly and respectfully to customers.

• Complete accurate service reports and communicate recommended follow-up.

• Follow safety and regulatory standards when handling products and equipment.

• Identify additional customer needs and support service and sales goals.

• Continue developing your skills through training and certifications.

Why You’ll Enjoy Working Here:

• Make a visible difference in customers’ homes, businesses, and communities.

• Work independently while having the support of an experienced team.

• Build valuable technical, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.

• Join a respectful, family-oriented workplace that prioritizes employee well-being.

• Receive ongoing training and opportunities for professional growth.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM.

• Location: Applicants must live within 25 miles of our Little Rock office.

• Benefits: We cover 100% of employee health and dental premiums, plus vacation, holiday pay, a robust retirement plan, and more.

• Compensation: First-year earnings of $40,000 to $45,000+, including benefits and opportunities for financial growth through company performance; nearly all of our pest technicians earned more than $45k in 2025.

What We’re Looking For:

• Reliability, attention to detail, good judgment, and respectful communication.

• Comfort working independently and performing the essential functions of the role, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.

• Two or more years of general work experience; pest-control experience is helpful but not required.

• Ability to obtain and maintain Arkansas registered applicator certification.

• Valid Arkansas driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings.

• Commitment to our drug-free and tobacco-free workplace.

The Bug Man Difference:

As a woman-owned company in the skilled trades, we’re proud to build a safer, healthier community—and a workplace where people are respected, supported, and able to grow. The Bug Man is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We welcome qualified applicants of every race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy status, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, and other status protected by law.
