Dental Assistant

Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and implants.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
Manage patient records using electronic medical records using Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient care while adhering to clinical confidentiality policies.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and treatment plans to enhance their understanding and comfort.
Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by following infection control protocols and dental sterilization procedures.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and assisting the dental receptionist when needed.

part-time $20 - $25 per hour

- Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Mondays only, 9:00 AM–7:00 PM.

Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry .
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and dental equipment operation.
Familiarity with Eaglesoft for managing medical documentation and records efficiently.
Knowledge of medical terminology, dental terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care.
Experience performing X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards.
Understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages while demonstrating professionalism and empathy in every interaction.
